Fundraising UPDATE!!!

Updating once again:
My son is up to $102.03 US, which converts to about $159.92 roughly, give or take the exchange rate hehe.

Even better, on Thursday night, we received an email from Tasmanian of the Year 2008, Bruce Englefield, chairman of the "Devil Island Project", who works with the Tassie government to build the enclosures that quarantine the disease free devils, to keep them safe and healthy! He explained to us that while the funds donated to the research will help eventually, that if we were to donate some of the funds to their cause, that there would be more visible, tangible results, and that his name would appear at one of their sites as a sponsor.

I never dreamed that when my son came home that day a few weeks ago, and started telling me what he wanted to do ... well, I didn't realize that he would get so much attention from all over the world! LOL

Thank you again to everyone for your support! Watch for more goodies to come soon!

+ + I'm a Little Devil + + this is the first post on the blog, I am not sure what to write LOL, so I guess I will start by explaining why I pulled it together in the first place.

My oldest son's class is doing their public speaking stuff right now in school, and he's doing his speech on Tasmanian Devils.

For the first time, he is very passionate about something and wants to do something to help save them. They have this form of contagious cancer that is killing them...within 3-5 months of the first tumour developing, they starve to death. They are on the endangered species list now, and unless they find a cure for the "Devil Facial Tumour Disease" they will be gone within a few years...totally wiped out.

So...he's organized a fundraiser at his school ... but since his school is small, I am going to be helping him out and putting out a tassie devil scrap kit that I will sell on here, and will be giving him 100% of the profits to donate.

Watch here for updates! The B&W Day is May 15, 2009, so I have time to put together a decent kit, and offer it for one month only. More details will be posted soon :o)

Amanda Fontaine's "Devilish" Charity Scrap Kit

As promised, I have put together a charity scrap kit to sell for my son. 100% of the profits will be donated by him to the "Save the Tasmanian Devil Appeal", that you can read more about here:

I will post updates regular on the progress of the donations and sales of this kit.

Available Only Until March 1st, 2009

Your kit will be sent via email within 24 hours! Help me support my son, and order now!

Sweetening The Pot

I have decided to sweeten the pot where this scrap kit is concerned :o)

When you buy this scrap kit, your name will automatically be entered into a draw (yes this includes those that have already gotten the kit), and there will be 3 prizes drawn May 2nd, 2009.

What for you may ask?

1st Place: An "Unlimited License" from me. Every tube, scrap kit or element pack I ever will have access to free of charge.
2nd Place: 2 of my tube packages from AMI, and 2 of my scrap kits
3rd Place: 1 of my tube packs, and 1 of my scrap kits

Prizes are transferable if you can't use them :o)

Thanks for reading everyone, and I hope you enjoy the prizes!

UPDATE: Another pot-sweetener hehe
My friend Mattt Poser has added a little blurb about my son's efforts to his blog here: and he has generously added yet ANOTHER incentive to donate 8o)

"SO I have come up with a little plan to help out. I am offering a FREE Illustration to the person who donates the most money to this project. Okay so I guess that means it's not exactley free, buttt you will have the satisfaction of knowing your money that would normal go to greedy greedy me will actually be going to those cuteee adorable Tasmanian Devils. So pleeeease help out =D

So, when March 1st rolls around, I will give Mattt the info for who gave the largest donation...
